Totally OT.

I am flipping channels tonight and what do I come upon? The Rock Paper Scissors Championship on A&E. No shit. With a huge crowd cheering the contestants. And this was a ONE HOUR show! What's next, an hour long special devoted to tic tac toe? I really am tempted to think we are getting dumber and dumber.

And who's the moron who developed those "I'm Tony Sinclair, ready to Taqueray" commercials. I don't know who the f*ck you are Tony other than an obnoxious and totally unfunny MF and after watching your commecricals I'd never buy Taqueray if my life depended on it :-)! Every time those commercials come on I want to shoot the TV. Now some marketing genius here can tell me how great the commercials are because they caught my attention. A 500 pound fat woman in a bikini catches my attention too but that doesn't mean I'm going to want to run out and buy the bikini.

Yeah, my wife was channel surfing (I just wanna watch a show -- go figure) and I saw that title flash by.

I once worked for a place that made record players with cloth glued to the outside of the boxes. They had some scissors about three feet long.

What they oughta do with this show is use those scissors, a refrigerator box, and about a cubic foot of granite. How would rock, paper, scissors be interesting unless someone lost a finger or crushed a wrist every once in a while, anyway?

By the way, I vaguely remember hearing that this has been a big thing on TV in Japan for years.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

What's the purse for the Rock Paper Scissors Championship? It's gotta be big money, at least as much as the Shuffleboard championship I say a few weeks ago.

Further proof that we have a lot of free time on our hands.

I'm waiting for the 'Installer Olympics' from CEDIA to be telecast, sponsored by our two big friends Monsta and Blose.

I'm wondering how long it will be before the bearded yelling guy, will be selling "Hercules Hooks" to hang Plasma TV's!!!!

UHHH SORRY that has already happened. It has been on HDNET the last 2 years. I think B&K or someone that makes big ass amps sponsored it. I remember them duct taping the amp back together so they could keep shotputting it. Sad but true...

They could have picked a nicer area to film that in too, that hallway area didn't look so hot.

All I got was Missy Elliott and Whale Sharks too. Perhaps we need to use the word "s--t" instead of the more PC #2.

But you know what... I'm leaving it there. This is probably something I just don't need to see... thanks for not linking us to it.

The following questions jump to mind:

Was the rock, scissors broadcast in HD?

Was it in digital 5.1?

Do they were sunglasses?

and most importantly............

Who were the commentators? Is it possible that somewhere out there lies a team of rock, scissors, paper retired champions/experts who now make a livng from critiquing other player's moves?
