For those who care...
the Elan DB sensor does not work with standard AC doorbells. If you wish to use a standard doorbell to trigger an event in an Elan system(or stand alone system with an SR1) you must use the voltage sensor instead. Then program your events to go on the sense port off side of the trigger.
