According to the guys at the EXPO, this was supposed to be more of a "protected" line.

Kinda feels good to have sold 2 T3's today. (Replacing some HTM SL-9000's to boot:) )

Are ya listening Hank, Jeff?

Frank,

I honestly don't think that ANYONE at URC gives a sh** about internet sales of ANY kind. Fact is, I'd go so far as to say they embrace them.

No different than many of the manufacturer's.

It's all about moooving the product.....

This is a good example of terrible distro policies. I cannot buy them from my buddies a CS but every schmo in the world buys them from @V#D and sells them on Fleabay.
They are supposed to be "Territory Restricted" what good is that. Why doesn't RTI get whored on EBAY ? They come from the same distro? Maybe it is just employees from our boys in Canton selling them? I just wish they would track a couple of SNs to find the "leak" or just care a little bit about this problem.

Because RTI actually CARES. Put one on Ebay and see how long it is b4 it gets yanked.

I have an RTI T2+ I was given by another dealer as a gift. It is New so if I list it on Ebay who is going to yank it? I could see them buying it and tracking the SN. Then I guess my friend would be "cut off". Do they track SN at RTI ?
IF RTI can do it then URC should be able to!

EXACTLY!

Trust me, put the RTI on Ebay, and see how long before it gets yanked. Im not so much referring to tracking serial #'s and cutting off dealers (Though that may happen, and hopefully does). Im more referring to RTI forcing Ebay (not the seller) to pull them off. I have had several items pulled off Ebay before. It all depends on how much pressure they get from the company in question, and what agreements they may have in place. I used to sell a lot of used dbs equipemnt on E-bay, and depending on what month it was and what hair DTV had up their A@@ that week, E-bay would pull my listings off left and right, even though it was a JUSTIFIED/LEGAL sale on my end. (not hacked, no free programming, complete sytem and not just the card, etc) DTV put a lot of pressure on them, and E-bay has a staff that does nothing but search for "illegal" keywords.

Another example: I had a very expensive Pot and Pan set that I mistakenly got from a MLM I belong to. It sat around my house forever (as i dont cook) I finally put it on ebay, thinking nothing of it. It was immediately yanked, and my "up-line" was immediately notified. They had an agreement in place w Ebay. so... why CANT URC do this? cause they dont give a sh@@!
