I have something like that for home, but at the shop we just keep them in the little plastic organizers you get from HD or Lowe's. We really only use AA and 9 volt around the shop. Occassionally we need some AAAs for a remote, but with most of the remotes coming with rechargebales it is not that often.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Extra Batteries??? Store them???

This would assume that as they were brought into the house, that they weren't sucked up by the wife and kids in a femto-second.

I swear that I can buy the largest package offered at the warehouse store, and they're immediately gone. Perhaps that drawer contains a black hole that only consumes alkalines?!

Was this a bedside drawer? Just a thought :) (JK)

I have one of those things (not identical, but same idea). The tester is nice, but the batteries are kinda tough to get out and often fall out and naturally roll under the largest most immobile object in the room.
But the tester makes it all worthwhile and I do always have abtteries around.

Actually, I hear the fridge is the worst place to store them,. Cold depletes batteries.

BTW mine are in the fridge. Those drawers in the bottom are always empty. I do not like veggies.
