Who makes any?

Im betting Sirius is a lost cause, as I cant even get them as a stand alone tuner, let alone integrated w an AVR.

Are there any XM integrated AVR's out there? Who makes them?

Thanks

Both Onkyo and Denon have models with XM built into them.

There are not direct tuning, I would only recommend using this feature if budget was a concern.

Can you elaborate? Do you mean only using this TUNER if budget is a concern, or the direct tuning feature? If the latter, are you suggesting another alternative?

I would recommend a stand alone XM tuner over the XM ready receiver wen given the option. You only have the capabilities of presets within the Denon. If you want to go to, say, channel 76 directly you are out of luck unless it is a preset that is preprogammed.

I just messed with one for a friend and I was not overly pleased with the XM functionality. The XM ready antenna was a pain as well, house was ran with RG6 to the roof.

integra has xm built in
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

Excellent point about the antenna. The Onkyo receiver uses an antenna with the tuner module in the antenna itself; you must use the appropriate cabling to make it work...

The Denon 2106 does not have the direct tuning(preset access only), but the North American models of the 2807, 3806 and above do have it via rs-232.
"TFXM022" is the string for direct access to XM channel 22.
I have no idea on whether there is direct access via the OEM remote, or via IR as we have never hooked one of these units up without 232.

Frank, I think you will find all the major players (Integra, Yamaha, Denon) to have XM ready receivers, all requiring the forementioned XM tuner/antenna module:

[Link: dbldistributing.com]

The other way is to get a standalone like the Polk piece. You still have to run an antenna out to the same place the antenna/tuner would have gone with an a/v receiver...
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
