I have an older NR series scaler that does not react to discrete IR commands that are in the files section..(any of them).....I have done enough searching for these and can't find anything else to do.....
Just needed a final answer from someone else that this is for sure...
That's all...........unless there is something that I can try....i.e. using the rear IR input with a mono plug from the IR block etc.....
It should give the results as the flasher thats already there...
Bottom line I think that the discretes won't work....
Anyone else have these issues....

Here's a link to the Faroudja web site with a ccf download for NR series, if those don't work then nothing probably will. Does any IR work at all? [Link: meridian-audio.com]

The Inputs work with input then a number
The power codes both toggle this unit..........
Video does turn the unit on..........
I was using video then power for off...
My inputs only work if I start with video then they react......so the input for YPrPb would be
NRS Input Video 1
delay
other pieces turning on in case they aren't
then
NRS INput YPrPb
The inputs are short macros of their own INPUT, .25 delay, number
This causes a short delay and some flashing inputs but usually works...except when there is no picture for the input selected then the big menu for the faroudja pops up and is quite annoying....
I have yet to try the power then 1 or power then 0 function but then again im not there till tomorrow night...
Also I noticed that I was using the same input commands that they sent with INPUT, delay, 1, delay, 1...for video.......
Does the second 1 sometimes make the faroudja act up???
I was also hoping the front IR input wasn't killing me.....Pronto Pro 7000 with older RF base.......no adjustments...

Never had good luck with the NR series. Even with 232, we had to send commands multiple times to make sure they took.
