I have searched AVS, and here at RC to find the OEM company for Electrograph, and have seen suggestions of NEC, and Panisonic.. Anyone know for sure???

It is definately not a prominent brand.
If you're looking for discrete IR codes...many Electrograph plasmas a LCDs units were shipped with older firmware...which...of course, do not support these commands that they provide via a PDF file.
Electrograph's Support department apparently makes appointments and does the firmware upgrade on site, should you inquire.

Last one I saw seemed like it was Pany glass but who knows what as far the rest of the guts. The ones I saw did not have much in the way of discrete codes. My last experience was over a year ago though.

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV. My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird. |

The Panny was 2 years ago. It was actually a nice set. The unit they were using about 8 months ago was a Sampo. Biggest peice of junk I ever had the displeasure of selling. I had to send 2 back that I sold the to the same customer. The video would just freeze but the audio would continue when watching cable. Electrograph knew about the problem but sold the sets anyway. They covered the shipping to return the units but I had to upgrade the customer at my expense. I will never sell another unit that was OEM'd by another company unless they disclose that info to me. It's a funny thing that when it was the Panny they volunteered the info, with the current unit it is now a secret.
