There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

Second the Yammy. The RXV559 is at that price point with upconversion, multi-source full discrete, xm and ipod ready.

Yamaha is much better because of 1 major problem with Denon. If you use the Component In & Out's they are not turned on from the factory, you have to do it in the menu. I have had at least 3 customers figure out how to reset the receiver and access settings that I had setup and somehow turn off the component inputs.
If the receiver takes a surge and resets or needs to be reset, you will have no video.
Trust me, I have had that call from customers before. Use something more reliable.
The remote with a Denon is the biggest pile of crap to ever be built.

The denon stuff in this price range sounds like screaching birds. Marantz or Yamaha are a better option. That or an Ipod.

I can't stand the sound of DENON receivers. Of course now that it's D&M holdings who knows how long it will be before they screw up Marantz, although it would be nice to get rid of RC5 IR.
