Got this started from another thread but just wanted to know, anyone else out there having issues with ProConne;t's new green banded compression fittings? Just ran into one hell of a trim and would like to know I am not crazy.

I switched from the ProConnect-branded stuff to the non-branded stuff from CablePro/ICM, and never looked back - same basic connector, but I much prefer the latter's exterior case/design.

I had a run of these connectors where the center pin on RCAs would not go over the center conductor. The center pin seemed to have a blockage inside. Wasted a bunch of connectors and no love from A*!D.

Now use Audioquest ITC pretty much exclusively.

had this problem as well as termination issues, even with successful term. no signal or short, center pin seems to not be designed well for the new greens, gotta switch fast, I know there are many out there, Canare, Audioquest, etc. anyone switched from ProConne/t? if so what have you gone to

I just did about 50 RCAs on the belden mini RGB with no problem.

for coax I use belden and snap-n-seal two piece cons. much faster/less blisters from forcing the connector on.

Ted Wetzel; what connectors did you use on the Belden minin RGB? We used the Pro Connect organge with RCA and BNC. We are having problems.

I might have been the guy who started these threads on cable testing and the FatBoy.

What cable are you using from Belden?

The so called "universal" green F connectors would not go onto some RG-6 quad that was supplied by the cable company in my in-laws house. It took me 15 mins to get a crappy connection and I'm not kidding here, gave me tendonitis (sp?). I used to joke about athletes taking games off because of it but I got it in my wrist from the side loaded pressure and it was horrible. 9 physical therapy sessions later and I am just now at the point that I can I can lift 30-50 lbs without pain. Universal my butt!
with all do respect... i had no idea that you had an experimental surgery to have your balls removed.

We have had terrible problems with the orange BNC connector. We just removed all of them and used the Belden connector. It went on very strong and made our Key Digital Fatboy fire right up.

Excellent piece of equipment. Key Digital Fatboy

No problem with the green universals. We use them all the time. When you are using the quad shield "Water Wire" you have to get hte shielding just right. I have used the Ideal pr-connect and many others with not much luck on thaty stuff. Its not the connectors its the wire. That wire sucks.

According to my @v@d rep, ther eare two different models of the orange connectors, one for 22g and one for 24g Belden wire. Be sure you're ordering the right ones.

Just my $.02 worth.

Yep, it doesn't take too many before your fingers start to hurt..... One day I used my F wrench (no not my f**** wrench), and discovered it seats them great, never looked back..
