I have 2 upcoming jobs where it will be impossible to get wire to, Glass and Concrete! I had planned on using the Amphony piece @ both homes one is for rear speakers the other was going to be a zone on a B&K CT600. I got the Amphony pieces in to test in the shop and one set wouldn't work out of the box! the other set melted itself within 3 hrs! THESE THINGS S&*K, STAY AWAY!!!! Any ideas and yes i know wireless isn't the best solution but these two places its the only solution.

I've seen wirelees commercial speakers in Sound & Communication magazine before. They'll probably cost more than your whole set up.

I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

A few years ago I had a similar install .I tried to convince my client to go with a 3 channel system. He really wanted rear surround speakers .We tried a quit a few wireless speakers with no luck. What we did was modifying a set of Sennheiser Headphones . I connected the Sennheser transmitter to the surround sound pre out of my receiver . I then dismantled the headphone and used the left and right outputs to drive the input of my 2 channel amp that powered my rear surrounds. I also had to remove the battery and connected a power supply to the headphone to keep them powered.

I was at my client home last month to upgrade his receiver, and his system was still working great.

Could you run the surround inputs into a Belkin wireless AV transmitter receiver, then at the receiver, run a small amp (impact, niles or parasound)out from the Belkin reciever into the back 2 speakers?

Hasn't the wireless speaker debate been put to rest years ago?

I put them in the list of things that people think should work, but don't; right beside Terk antennas, wireless video transmitters and the caller ID feature on Panasonic phone systems.
