Hi, we have recently installed a Tilevision bathroom TV for a client, using SCART RGB from a Sky digibox to feed the TV.
We have used a "Magic Eye" so the client can use their Sky remote to control the digibox from the bathroom over coax.
- I dismanted the Magic Eye receiver, and put it next to the Tilevision I/R receiver board at the lower front of the glass on the screen, so they don't have an ugly black "puck" on the bathroom wall - it works a treat!
(This would also work fine for Crestron / AMX emitters and give a much tidier solution).
The client wishes to use the supplied Sky remote to control the television, so I'm wondering if anyone would know the codes to put into the Sky remote to control power & volume etc for the Tilevision TV.
We have had no response from the manufactures regarding the make of the panel in the Tilevision TV.
Many thanks
Matty

Hi, I would suggest if they can afford the Tilevision tv they might be able to stretch to the price of a learning remote or better still a Harmony! More profit for you and nice gadget for client. Cheers

I'm surprised you've had no luck from the manufacturer. They were all helpful when I enquired about control and inputs.
Honestly, though. Get 'em a proper remote like an MX-350 or something. Then put their favourite channels on it. My clients love that. BBC R2 at the press of one button, or News24. Beats that Sky thing any day.

Sticking to what I'm good at. |
