Well I have an interesting situation. I have a customer that wants to do an outdoor screen that would be infront of a wall that is covered in ivy. Except he doesn't want the screen visible all of the time. The wall is hollow and a couple feet thick. Basically just a privacy wall between units. (it can be modified)

I am trying to figure out what to do with the screen. I'm trying to find something that can either have the screen pop up from behind a planter, or roll in from the side of the wall. Or maybe a rigid screen wall that moves along a track from a hidden pocket in the side of the house.... Something! But obviously I need to make sure the ivy doesn't get in the way of the screen coming in, etc.

I have a couple ideas, but I am looking for some other input.

Thanks!

I have to figure out a screen to use on a customer's roof deck where it is always kind of windy since the house is on a lake. I don't think he wants it out all the time, just for parties. Do any of you have any ideas or thoughts of which screen will hold up well outdoors and handle the wind decently (maybe a perf screen)?

Thanks

Done a 300 inch outside with a 70k runco projector at 75 ft. It was a draper screen motorized to rise out of a box. Customer had a waterproof box built with a stainless steel top. We added actuators to the box and controlled everything with Crestron.

No lie, it looked like you were at the movies it was so clear. 30 to 40k screen and 70k projector.

You say the screen raised out of the box. So the box was on the ground and the screen motorized UP? If so, what and who's motorization did you use for this? This is exactly what I am looking for. on Draper's site I only see screens that are ceiling mounted and drop down, not up. Do you have a picture you could share?

Thank you!!
