the problem with companies like your is that you guys don't want to pay,,you sell systems for 100 grand each and you want a guy to install it ,program it and everything for less than $20 an hour!

the best way to go is to get into doing commercial systems, thats where the money is at and you don't usually work weekends and they break it down,,they have installers, project managers and programmers, they are not the same person.

We actually have separate project managers, installers, and programmers at our company. Our more experienced installers are doing very well for themselves.

I don't know if you were just trying to get the flames jumping, but I figured I would clarify your false statements. If you have any other questions, just ask.

yeah man harvey is shit hole, i had a few word with a guy who works there. man it's bad. they will hire anybody who walks in for a job and they will call him (installer) and they will charge almost $100/hr for that person. the (installer) who don't even know how to hold a screwdriver. so if somebody is got nothing better to do can go to them anytime and see and learn how to ripp off customers big time.

Wow.

I have to say this has degenerated into one of the nastier mudfests I've read since the last election.

Adlai Stevenson said "He who slings mud loses ground"

Here's my view. If you don't want to work someplace, great. Don't. If you do, great. Learn all you can. Every situation is different, and hopefully you can learn from every situation.

Personally, when I worked in the field, I had various competitors that I didn't much care for. They are now out of the business. Natural selection works for the most part. I never said bad things about somebody, because it never improved my chances of getting a job, increasing my pay, or feeling better about myself.

I currently work in the industry in a different segment, and I do my best not to slag my competition.
I would urge all of you to do the same. Otherwise, we're just a bunch of whining children.
