I am building a house in Palo Alto and want to include whole house audio, video, networking, lighting control, HVAC control, and security (thinking of HAI for lights, HVAC, and security). Although I did a complete X-10 retrofit to my current 3200 sq foot home 6 years ago, I do not have the bandwidth or the cajones to do the current job on the new home.
I am seeking recommendations for an experienced and practical installer who can work with me to design and implement a system that has about 15 audio zones, 5 video zones, and a total of 15 rooms, give or take. I have found a couple of full service shops with large retail stores that offer these services, but I desire a leaner operation.
Recommendations, please?

Are you essentially trying to DIY but want to use a pro to pull cable and install equipment, as well as design advice? Sounds like a huge project.
I might be able to hook you up with one of my old comrades, but I'm not sure if they know any HAI.
Send me a PM or email.
