A good display with a cable card sounds like an oxymoron to me. Unless you want headaches and service calls.

hahahaha...well...she wants premium channels and has NOWHERE to put a cable box. I realize I might be getting myself into some shi$ but I have to deliver what she wants. It's T&M so if there is an issue with the cable card I don't mind a couple of service calls ;)

Never used Samsung with a cable card, so far Sharp and Panasonic. One Panasonic has worked with a cable card, one has not. Finally put a cable box in with sharp project.

Can't put the box in an attic or a closet. Did someone run a single coax to a plasma/LCD location?

Ya...single coax...brand new highrise in Irvine...concrete ceilings and floors...9th floor. No way to remotely locate boxes either....unless I convince them to put them on the floor under the TV. LOL!

I've never really been a big fan of Samsung. I suppose it's an option. Only choice through AVAD is Sharp...26 45"'s on backorder, Volutone has 54 on back order. Electronic Stockroom has Benq, Proton, NuVision and Viewsonic...anybody have any experiences with any of those?

I have 3 Samsung LCD's for the kids rooms at my Lomita project, testing (watching) one right now. No cable cards involved.

I am gonna get the guys started on some busy work tomorrow. Give me a call if you have some free time tomorrow if you want to check it out. We are still a couple of weeks out from install.
