Facing a challenging situation in a client's media room - long story, but suffice to say that room and proj screen size constraints mean that the L/R speakers must be compact (either that, or they have to be monitors sitting 6" off the floor & tilted up, and I'd prefer to avoid this approach if possible).

Any recommendations for a quality *thin* (approx 6" wide or less, and preferably similarly shallow) floorstanding speaker?

One consideration is Mirage's OmniSat v2 FS line, but looking for others against which to compare this. Thanks!

Check out Cantons CD series. The CD300's use the same drivers form the Karat's I believe. Either way, they look and sound pretty damn good.

Nice speakers, not too big, and sound great!

Just my opinion, though. I'm sure there are others out there...

I just did a set up recently with the Mythos flanking a 61" Pioneer Elite, powered by a Denon receiver. Sounded pretty nice, I would take Velodyne subs over the Def Tech though.

Whats the budget? On the higher end...
Check out the Bohlender-Graebeners, or for the lower end $$$ Jamo.

If budget is tight, I would recommend Atlantic Technologies FS3200's. Either wall mount or optional floor stands available.
