In fact...no power command in the RS232 code at all. Does anyone know if there has been a revised RS232 table written, that includes power commands? The pdf I have was written in 2004. I was hoping that maybe Polk has reviused it and I don't have the current published RS232 command table PDF.

AFAIK there is still no power command. I always just connect a constant 12v to the trigger.

Just buy the XM100 from Antex instead. Problem solved.

The Antex is an alternative but doesn't have any digital output
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

I think I'll just use the 12 input to turn it on. Antex is not an option in my current situation. Perhaps on future jobs though...although it is over priced IMO.

Too bad becasue the Polk - other wise - is an exceptional unit. It is very fast to boot up, very fast at changing channels; has discrete IR control (which is a big plus on systems that aren't using RS232) and a bargain at it's current price. It aslo sounds very goofd (for an XM tuner) probably attributed to its DACS (just a guess).

I would like to have a digital audio out too, especially if I am using this in a media area rack and feeding the analog out to the house distributed sound system.
Discrete codes and front panel lockout, as well as password protection are just a few added bouses. You can tell the receiver to a specified channel at a certain time of day, which is nice to "reset" the favorite preset for the homeowner because the kids changed the settings, without custom control system programming.

I wish they made the unit 1/4 rack size too, but we were not the designers :)

Retail on the Antex is less than $300.00. I think that is fair.

The ever-so-slimy three-letter distributor has it. You'll never get the same price twice.

I thought the Antex was much more? MSRP is only $300?

Does it have discrete IR as well?

Discrete IR is on the included remote and there is little money to be made on the unit itself. You will make much more on the interface programming, if there is any.
