Duration or repeats???

What is this a DVD player? If so then you need to hit it with a power on then a play after a delay and that will wake it. Something to do with the processor when it sees Off compared to power.

It's been about 8 months since I set one up with an MX-850. Pioneer Code 335/PDP5040HD. I haven't had any issues.
Manuals?! We don't need no stinking manuals! a.. er..

it only works sometimes. it locks up and the factory remote wll get it working again. I used the ccf on pioneers site. I am patiently waiting for my client to call and say WTF!

Doesn't the factory remote have discrete power that you can learn into your remote? All the Pio factory remotes I've seen in the last few years have discrete power on them (I think) - don't they? Or am I thinking about another brand?

I have never had issues with 4350 discrete on or discrete off commands. I am drawing a blank on the factory remote, but if memory serves me correct, I believe it does have discrete on and off as well as discrete input codes.

It has discreet inputs but not power on the oem remote. I used both codes sets in the urc database with the same results. Actually got the ccf from pioneer too. I recall someone having the same issue a while back but couldnt find it.

Be careful that the discrete off you are using doesn't put it into a OFF state and not a STANDNY state. I have run into this problem before and it was a real pain in the ass to figure out what was going on.
