Hello
I'm looking at buying a low-end home theatre audio system (I have a DVD player already). I'm looking at the Jamo A320PPD speaker pack with either the Sherwood RD6405 or Yamaha RXV-359 amp. Do you know anything about these products? i'm looking to spend up to AU$1200 (both these packages fit in the price range)
Thanks!
Jonathon

The 320 is ok but I'd find another $50 and get the A340PDD. Yamaha definitley over the Sherwood.

Thanks Phil, I'll look around for the 340. Any other advice for the absolute novice? Anyone?

I would definately go with the Yamaha. I have an Yamaha DSP-RX757SE and it's got excellent sound quality. All i say to you is do not buy an all in one DVD amp as they have limited connectivity and sound terrible. The Jamo speaker package is a good buy but if you can afford a bit more try looking at different brands.
