Has anyone ever successfully controlled a Krell piece using the RC-5 input jack on the back? I have the spreadsheet from Krell describing the RC-5 commands needed. A Crestron processor will be sending the commands. I wrote a program a while back that generated Pronto .ccf files for every RC-5 codeset. I have even converted these to .MXDs for MX-850s, etc., but I haven't yet figured out how to get these commands successfully into a .IR file within Crestron DEAL. I am looking for the tricks such as how to generate a driver file within Crestron, should I strip the carrier signal, etc. TIA.

We have successfully controlled every current piece of Krell gear with RS232 through Crestron. Have you tried that?

I have to control a KAV-300iL integrated amplifier and a KAV-280CD CD player. Neither has an RS-232 port, that would just be too easy. They both have the RC-5 input jack on the rear though. My HTS 7.1 has the same, but I've never used it since it also has serial. I've tried shooting all the discrete Krell codes that I have at these pieces and they don't respond so I feel like RC-5 is my only way at discrete power commands.
