I need a very inexpensive remote $10-15 preferably to control these TV/VCR combo units we are installing for a customer. (PROPERLY)

Don't ask but there are a bunch of them, and most of them don't have the remotes.

A few of the universals we tried would only control the power and channel when programmed into the VCR source button on the remote, no volume because it wasn't the TV commands. NO codes work with the TV buttons.

ANy help would be great

If any of these inexpensive remotes are OFA's, try selecting the DVD or VCR device as the VOL punch-through, like so:

1. DVD or VCR
2. press and hold SET/SETUP for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-3
4. press VOL UP

The new line OFA remotes, like the urc-6820, 8820, and 10820 have many Tv/Dvd & Tv/Dvd/VCR codes listed. Which are VCR & DVD codes loaded to the Tv device.
