A while ago there was talk of comcast doing some kind of firmware update to fix all the hdmi handshaking issues. Mainly the problems running the hdmi through reciever's with hdmi switching. Has anyone heard anything. I would like to know if I have to send customers back to comcast to switch out their boxes with updated units. As of right now I have given up on even trying hdmi in these type of instulations. Thanks in advance. jc

I wouldn't even go there. Comcrap's promises are usually empty, I wouldn't put the customer through it.

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"... |

Talked to my cousin who is an installer, in-house not a sub, they are telling them that they are aware of it but they don't think they want to take the chance of having all or some of the boxes go bad, fail to reboot, etc. from the update. Translation - ain't gonna happen
