RE: KX-TA624 and TVA50

I have been unable to find a way to program a key for "Transfer call to voice mail" on system phones that do NOT have a display.

Using the #94 program as you use on a display phone has not worked for me.

For some reason, if I just use the phones transfer button and send the call to an extension, the automated attendent never picks up. The extension simply rings continously.

I need the voice mail to work in an existing system that has a combination of Panasonic display and non-display phones.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Are you only having a problem with the non display phones?.. are they Panasonic system phones?.. and is it just because the phone doesn't have a display to program with? If so just plug a display phone into the extension and program it and then replace it with the non display phone.. If they are all Panasonic system phones I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work other than there being system or voicemail programming issues.

I can't say I've done what you are doing, but I can say that I've never seen a feature that only worked on a display phone, and not on a non-display phone (other than a display feature...duh). I can only imagine that you are missing a step in the programming due to not having a display. Try CMA's suggestion using a display phone just to program, and it should work just fine.

Good luck

That worked.

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize the individual phone data was stored in the KSU instead of the phones, though that makes perfect sense after thinking about it.

Appreciate the help.

I don't remember the feature code but it definately is doable. You may have to set the receiving extension to cfwdna to the voice mail port. It's been at least four five years since I did it last.

Didn't make it plain in my previous post.

CMA's solution worked.
