I have a whole house audio system I installed. I have 3 keypads and 2 IR sensors. I added an RF remote with a receiver that converts the RF into IR and blasts it to one of my IR sensors (it is on the wall in a jbox). It all works fine, except I noticed that when I have the RF receiver plugged in (which is always), my IR emitters in my equipment closet are constantly blinking like an IR signal has been sent. When I unplug the RF receiver (it is in a different room), they stop blinking. It hasn't caused any problems, but I am wondering if this is going to cause my emitters to burn out faster or something.

Your RF reciever is getting stray signal from somewhere, and thus transmitting that false signal through your system, making your emitters blink like they are receiving a signal.
Try moving your RF reciever and/or RF Transmitter to a slightly different location.
