Have any of you received a fax from a guy that wants you to email him stories about DirecTV? I think he got my number from CEDIA because the letter says he will compile a list and turn it over to DirecTV & CEDIA Board Members?
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

What the F*#@?! The original post said he got a fax asking to be emailed. Why not an email asking for a response/reply? Sending signed documents is a whole different subject, ooh, Mr. Businessman, but broadcast faxing, especially in our industry seems really antiquated & a total waste of, lets see; paper, ink/toner, the cartridges that have to be recycled, the energy involved in the the production & proccessing in all of those items. And no, I am not a tree hugger. Last time I checked, businessmen liked to save time & money & keep profits. Maybe I got it all wrong. Maybe I should still be using 5 1/4" floppies to back up my qbooks file?
Life is short, enjoy yourself!

You'd be amazed at how much faxes are still needed/expected these days.

How quickly a subject can change from the original post.......................... No fax here from DirecTV. Interested in seeing a copy it. Can anyone "scan it" and e-mail a copy to me? My fax machine is out of toner.................................

the guy's trying to compile a list of email addresses so that he can sell them to spammers. it's an old trick, but it works.

I don't think CEDIA publishes email addresses anywhere that is why the fax. I will scan this in and email it to anyone that wants to look at it.

We are not, nor ever have been, a DirecTV dealer. That is why I find it funny I got the fax. But I quickly realized that he just sent it to all CEDIA members (which we used to be but did not renew our membership this year).

Email me, or post here if you want a copy.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
