has anyone out there had a client check these forums, interested to hear how that turned out. Could be good could be bad, it would certainly go towards explaining how involved some of these system designs are and how much work it takes but could be bad depends on the client i suppose

I've referred clients here to particular threads to reinforce a point I'm trying to make. Typically it's the "I've been reading about XYZ and saw it in a store, but you tell me it's buggy. I don't know who to trust." I'll send them a link to a thread here about something or the other that everyone is grumping about.

Ditto on the buggy thing. Saved my own @ss (and the customers) a couple of times by telling customers to check out other installers comments here.

I have had a client refer me here to get a code for their own products..he went and bought something on a whim and asked if we could add it to his system..and that he had all the codes with discretes and would email me the link...it was to the pronto files area with his specific model

he found a few interesting things as well and asked about them..

All worked out just fine
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
