Hi,

I'm a new member and I have a question. This is the home theatre setup I have currently. I have a Sony Wega 27" TV, Marantz Receiver and a Samsung DVD player. The volume for the system is controlled through the Receiver and the channel selection is controlled through the Digital Cable remote control I have.

Does anyone have any advice on a remote that I can use for all the systems at once without switching between different ones? Ideally I'd like to have one control to manage my digital cable, dvd-player, tv and receiver. I'm lookin to spend around 100-150 for a decent one. Thanks for your help.

Home Theater Master's MX-500 is calling your name...

Many of the sponsors of this website sell them in your price range

Thanks for the advice on the Control. I actually have one more question...I was looking at the controls for the MX-500 and I was wondering something. Since I control the volume through the receiver, is it possible to program just the volume controls onto the remote to the receiver, and use the other parts of the remote control for the cable box without switching devices via the LCD screen?

Meaning...having the volume control always point to the receiver across all of the different devices I program into the control. Is that possible?

You can make the volume controls buttons always control the receiver regardless of which device is selected. Does that answer your question?

If you buy an Mx-500, check out bluedo.com's FAQ on the best way to program the remote. Very helpful.
