I need to install 2 vcrs in a system. I plan to use Sony for one of them since it has discreet codes for on/off and input selection. Does anyone know any other brand that has discreet on/off and input selection codes?

I know the Mitsubishi has discrete on/off but I'm not sure about input, I think it does though. Can we add discrete tv/vcr selections to this inquire.

I have not looked lately, but Panasonic used to have two codes. The units I saw let you choose the codes on the remotes and on the VCRs with a switch.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie,

I hope you're right about the Panasonics, but I don't think they support discretes or an alternate code set anymore. I have one and wanted another, and I've checked online manuals, called customer service, etc., and have found no Pansonic VCRs that support discretes or an alternate code set. However, if anyone out there knows of one that does I would highly appreciate your posting the info on it. Thanks.

Mitsubishi's work well. JVC's also have discretes. If you have some older sony units you could just put them on different code sets.
