Has anybody heard of a multi room system called Audio ease. I have a client that had one installed 10 years ago. The company that did the install went out of business. Eleven keypads are down the twelfth one keeps flickering.
Thanks Zinon

In the early 90's we moved from Soundstream, an absolute nightmare, to Audio Ease which, by comparison was great. If I recall the politics of it, they were bought out by the Harmon family and the powers that be closed Audio Ease to focus on Panja. Anyway, I haven't heard of anyone offering support. Fortunately the home run based wiring scheme would allow you to upgrade to Elan or something else.

I did an eleven-room Audio Ease in the mid 90's for a TV tycoon in the LA area. He didn't have twelve keypads, so that could not be my system...

Where is it? For Audio Ease, I could be called in on an insulting basis!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

It is in NY. I do not know much about Audio Ease. But everyone keeps telling me to RUN away from it. My Customer all ready gave me the ok to swap it out if I had to. I thinking about Elan or Niles 4.6
Thanks

I think RUN is a good idea.

The one I did had seven rooms with video and audio plus four more with audio only. It is a true multi-zone system. Ask your client first if they have to have each room able to choose programs different from the other rooms, or if one program run everywhere will suffice. That decision is a huge quantum difference in the cost of replacement, and I agree, don't try to make it work.

To begin with, the one I did used, I think, the new 486 processor in its computer....
