I have a customer who is in love with Mac. He is attempting to use a Mac Mini to distribute audio and video throughout the house. I have tried to incorporate the IR codes into a TSU7000 and a MX850, neither was successful. The mini comes with a very basic remote with the layout resembling an I-Pod remote. When I learn the codes into the Pronto the codes show within the editor, but do not control the Mini. Anyone out there Mac literate?

don't know if it is related, but there is a method that you can use a mini remote to "associate" the control with that particular device. there is probably enough of a difference in the learned code vs the original code that the mini thinks it is not the correct code.

you MIGHT have success in using the same association method that one would use with an OEM mini remote in associating the learned remote to the mini, but then you might run into difficulties with differences in the codes from the learned output.

Keyspan is advertising FrontRow support with their Digital Media Remote and Express Remote through a Beta driver. FrontRow is not handled like an application, more like a service, so the Beta enables FrontRow events to appear in the Keyspan's configuration application.

I don't know for sure that all the issues have been worked out with their Beta driver or not. I have the remote in a project now, where the resident tech manager is going to do the final implementation, but we are wating on a 4x2 DVI switcher before we can proceed with final testing of the system.
