What? Each room will have it's own tuner, you
can mix and match sources per room.

1. Ever try to connect a CD player via a set of "Y" cables?

Need a line level amp. MORE money.

2. Want to control that stack of receivers?

Need some IR/RF control (either way). MORE money.

Add up ALL the items you'll need to make this menagerie work, and you WILL be in the same relative price range.

What other system offers three independent tuners and the ability to have local sources that input only to one zone but do not take up an input on the main system. i.e. Shared CD shared XM but local DSS in each zone.

Wire Nuts,

Don't confuse the issue with facts......lol

Dualtriamp,

How about expansion?

Abus solution easily expands with 4 sub-zones...Plug in four more keypads.

Your solution can be expanded as well...Just add four more RX-4105's and other devices.

The closet IS getting kind of full isn't it? And NOW the cost is SUBSTANTIALLY different.

Or the Nuvo Simplese. 4 source 4 zone $999.00
Expandable, includes keypads
As far as having tuners in each zone, how many people really want to listen to different commercials with the occassional song that you have allready heard a million times in different rooms?
It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever.

What is the nuvo simplese 30 watts per room? Regular a bus is a lot less than that, but I think 30 watts per room is pretty powerful. Not as powerful as 100 watts that you would get with the 4105, but the space and functionality of the simplese is much better. 100 watts is probably overkill anyway for most situations.

Might want to check out the Niles 440Z repeater system. Made just for this system plan. Pretty cool.

Perfect description. How can I convince my customers of this?
Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.

Slim,
If your customers want multible zone AM/FM sell it to them. But I have found that if they dont allready have XM or Sirrius once they are introduced to it they preferred it over standard radio.
Also music servers like Escient are a great alternative as well as cable/dbs music channels.
It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever.
