First we do 70% of the finals for these homes we prewire. So if I am not doing the final I am not as concerned.
The builder does custom homes but they all seem the same to me.
What we do is sold in packages.
I do not spend a lot of time figuring where to hide the wires. I am just looking for a new way to do it.
The issue with hiding a bundle of wires in the wall is the supers complain because they are not attached at the end of bundle. That is where this question originated from. When I work with other builders they have allowed me to do what I wanted.
Just remeber I am the installer not the boss I am not allowed to voice opinions to builder.

Many times I have left enough wire to reach the
equipment rack.

That's not asking a lot!!!

How about enough to reach rack and allow the rack to still be pulled out?

And enough room in the wall to easily manage your wires. Any wire not initially used is left in the wall, everything looks really neat and tidy.

I cut out a hole the exact size of an air vent
and install the air vent.

I like your idea.

Thanks Slimfoot. It can really save some time amd money on a bunch of terminations and interconnects. Fewer connections can't hurt either.
