I proposed some of the new (little) mirage ceiling speakers in a few surround areas in this guy's house (with the new little 1000 watt Velodyne subs paired up in each surround area)... Fairly small rooms & a budget to match. Customer wants to use the Anthony Gallo speakers & sub instead... Are they O.K. sounding? A lot of it has to do with the fact that this guy really likes how the A-T's look. any feedback appreciated... thanks...

No offense but I would make sure he is very clear on the fact that he has to decide wether he wants to listen to his speakers or look at them. You had the right recommendation which is why the guy hired you. I have never heard the Gallo stuff but the Minivee velo you spec'd I would garuntee eat it for breakfast.

my 2 cents Thanks cied... Yeah, he's one of these metrosexual guys... everything has to look really contemporary and european... But I know if I could have him listen to the stuff I'm proposing... A good analogy would be... You can have a beautiful girlfriend (to look at), but well... I better quit while I'm ahead...LOL! I think you understand!

try Revox, their small stainless steel cubes actually sound pretty good and are capable of great volume for their size. I am not so confident about their sub, but their cubes are very impressive and he will like the way they look.

try Revox, Whoa!! REVOX is a line I haven't seen in a while!!! Yeah, he'd probably dig those too, as well as some of the new B&O speakers... We don't see much Revox in these parts these days... Used to be popular back in the Reel to Reel days, then they started coming out with reall cool looking stacks of components... but we were carrying Tandberg, B&O & Levinson at the time... Revox might be an interesting overall product line to re-check out, because no one else in our "hood" is pimpin' it! Thanks!

No problem, their product line is classy in a James Bond stewardess kind of way, just make sure to check out the IR

I have installed a lot of Gallo's and have been happy with the performance and the asthetics. Are they as good as Krell Resolution 1s? Nope. And neither is any inwall or Mirage you're going to put in.

If you bring the Gallo sub over sometime I'll power up the Minivee, this is not a numbers game just pure betting, if the Gallo sub comes close to the Minivee, I'll give you the Minivee to do with as you wish, no joke, just talking about the sub

I have heard those Gallos (or is that gallows?) and they are OK. If OK sound is on the cards then it seems a shame to me.
Re: Revox, I checked out their website yesterday after I read that Imerge made their music server. NICE STUFF. It looks way too cool, has an awesome reputation and only one other dealer in the country has it. Very nice.

You might want to take a look at Morel also. They sound really good for what they are. One thing about speakers at least to some extent... size does matter.

Whats a metrosexual? It's a guy, hetero, that most likely goes for manicures, pedicures, uses a can of hairspray a week, etc. The pretty boy type that is really into fashion just like the prom queen in high school.
