Anyone use Monster Cipro in wall 14-4 speaker cable? If so, were the results good or bad? Thanks.

Cipro? Does that mean that this wire will not allow you to play music by Anthrax?

As hard as it is to hold back the sarcasim towards Monster(beleive me, this is HARD!), I'll tell you my experience with a couple spools.
It played music just like speaker wire!
Not better or worse.
The thing I didn't like was the outer sheath slides and stretches ALOT.
On a pre-wire, you might think you have a foot hanging out of the box.
In reallity, you may only have a couple of inches!
A 'ringer' is useless for stripping the outer sheath as the entire sheath rotates with it.
The inner conducters will most likely be cut or nicked by the time you do get the outer cover off with a pair of strippers(using the cutter portion).
This isn't my first rodeo! I've stripped alot of wires in my day.
It doesn't matter how careful or 'good' you are, this stuff will add to the time it takes to finish a trim-out.

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device! |

Smoke and mirrors, just like all their other products.
To be honest, I've never tried it. I could never bring myself to using a product from a company that I hate as much as Monster. I just can't be a part of their deceptive marketing strategy and inferior products.

It's actually very good wire. We only use it when we get it at a deal, but it's nice to work with. Don't pull it with a winch, and the jacket problems won't happen to you - never have with me. Also - one small nick in the side, and you can pull it right off. No damage. Also has a pull string if you are worried about nicks.

We tried it once, 3 or 4 years ago. I was immediatly turned of by the "made in china" label on the box. If I remember right it had a pretty low strand count too. Oh yeah and I dont think it is compatable with Bose.

Best wire in the world when doing a prewire at -30 F. Stuff does not crack or break like standard wire.

Julie, I think CEPro is safe (at least for now) as long as you are carefull not to utter the "M" word. As we all know, when Noel Lee ascended to the top of Mount Snake Oil God bestowed on him the name M$$$$er. Saying the "M" word without paying royalties is blasphemy and you deserve to be run out of buisness for selling clothes, talking about snowboarding, etc.

This is the most ridiculous post I've read here in a while - and that's saying something as they're have been some doozies lately. Its freakin' 16/4 speaker wire. Get over yourself. Personally, I like it for the reasons Norm & Fred have pointed out.

About four or five years ago there was quite a bit of Monster speaker wire out there with the inner conductors melted into the outer jacket. It was probably manufactured too quickly before the inner wire insulation was properly cured. Then there was the RG6 quad that acted as a notch filter and cut out certain transponders in satellite installs. The problem with Monster is that they are only concerned with sales and will sell inferior malfunctioning crap at times. Of course they should make money but not on my dime.
