Dell 600M

Bought 5 of them in the last year, and they've been great. Under a grand each...

Those wouldn't be for programming with the software available to us, right? How do you use them to program remotes?

I like the mouses (mice are rodents, not computer pointing devices) that are a little plastic nub below the g and h and above the b. You just put some sideways pressure on it and the arrow goes until you relax. You do have to go into mouse settings and slow it down a bit to maintain control, though.

Those pads at the bottom drive me nuts because I have to keep scraping my hand across them over and over to get across the screen.

Does anybody have anything good to say about the pad type mouse? Please convince me with a good example.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I think the techs in India speak better English
then the ones in TN :p

I was just googling for plastic parts boxes WITHOUT dividers, which nobody seems to have, when I ran across companies in India. I wonder if they outsource their phone work to Tennessee.

They provide great 'finger arobics'.

With enough use, you'll be able to amaize your friends when you slide an entire sidewalk or street out of the way with one finger!;-)

Other than that, they s**k!

I always bring a REAL mouse along to reduce my frustration.

I'm just the opposite - we have one laptop with the type you refer to, and I can't use it... It makes me crazy! I'm so used to the pad, that I don't need a mouse. The only problem is when my thumb bumps it while I'm typing, and moves the cursor somewhomly in the text.ere rand

Oops.

Otherwise, I quite like the pad.

I am touchpad all the way baby. Modern laptops have auto scrolling, virtual scrolling, edge motion, coasting and all sorts of other cool stuff. Just have to try them to see how powerful they are.

Norm, check your sensitivity and look for something called 'palm check' to take care of the little bumping and moving problems.
