any know if there is a device that can modulate hd video G,pb,pr, through a single rg-6 quad kinda like the security cams on diffrent channels of your tv but just diffrent video outputs corrosponding to the mod channel. pref slim in design for the output for use in remoted source loc applications?

I'm sorry, I can't understand what it is that you want to do. Take a little more time and try to be more specific with what you are trying to do.
If you are going to do the job...why not do it the right way?

So far, the only way of modulating an HD signal is over CAT-5 (maybe CAT-6 cant remember) /w modulators on both ends of the cable..... believe it can go up to 300ft..

He wants to be able to take HD signals normally fed direct to a display and remodulate to RF so that he only needs one RG6 coax cable instead of 4.

Part of the problem is you have to digitally encode and re-compress the video signal, adding the digital audio.

There really isn't a market for that to drive the price down.

You can get pretty good performance running HD Video+digital audio using CAT5 with the right active adaptors.

Google search for it.

for example hse amps loc in basement next to cat-5 and rg-6 dist. want to install hd plasma at loc that only has 1 rg-6 fed to dist point by hse amps, want to keep hd tivo w/ dual sat inputs in this loc but feed the hd video sig through the 1 rg-6, i know of security sys using a modulater to feed diffrent video signals through one coax to be outputed to diffrent channels ie ch 102=front door ch 104=garage ect... would this work with hd video signals? ie ch 102=G ch 104=pb ch 106=pr the three diffrent component video legs. basicily a box of sorts w three mini tuners outputing three diffrent tuned channels for the three legs of hd video signal. hope thats a little clearer.

No. You are talking about composite to rf. There is no "un-modulator" that will take the modulated "channels" and push them back together into Y,Pr,Pb. Stick with cat5 baluns. We use Gefen.

I am reviving this post after searching for some answers for myself...

Suppose my HD Satellite receiver is in one room and I want to watch an HD signal on another TV using this same receiver (namely a temporarily mounted HDTV with a built-in HD tuner for my patio).

If I were to run an RG-6Q cable from point A to B, my next feat would be to convert the RGB out to an HD signal (like Off-Air) and use the HD tuner on the other TV versus running several cables for video AND Audio and using one of the inputs.

It seems the majority thinks that no one makes this type of modulator. Can this be?

I can think of several applications where this would be beneficial.

Go USA!!! ..... Go Italia!!! (I'm torn)
