Any opinions on either model for use in home theatre.
Is the color model better and worth the additional money
Thank you

The color model is better from a resolution and therefore readability standpoint. You should take a look at both types of displays and see if the difference is worth it to you. By the way, looking at screen shots on the internet WILL NOT show you what the displays really look like on the remote. Additionally, the 9200 comes with the RF extender, this is optional equipment with the 5200.

The RC9200 does come pre-packaged with the RF extender but it isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world to program, and the range is pretty bad.

In my experience the 9200 has two things that are far and away better than the 5200:

1. Much more fun to program
2. Much easier to read it's display

The 5200 has big points too:

1. Much less expensive
2. Functionaly, it is identical to the 9200.

My advice: If budget is a big concern, go with the 5200. If not, go with the 9200. I can't see anyone regretting buying the 9200. I can only guess some people might regret the 5200 if they were ever considering the 9200.
