The B&K A/V receivers have some nice features such as individual volume controls for the sub, center, and rear speakers on the remote which makes it easy for the customer to raise or lower the above if he desires without having to go into the menus and permanently adjust them. Also, any input display can be customized to reflect it's actual source - example VCR 2 can be titled as Tivo. Unfortunately, the particular project that I am working on - the receiver is too expensive. I am probably going to use the Marantz 8200 which does not have the features listed above. Does anyone know of any other unit with discreet codes that might have one or both of the features listed above, 5 or more S-video inputs as well as a few audio inputs? Need to maintain budget range of the Marantz 8200.Any advice or feedback will be appreciated. PS - this is the first time I am using the Marantz 8200 - if anyone has experience with this unit - those comments will also be appreciated.

The 8200 does have bass and treble adjustmets via the remote. I'm thinking the RC-3200 has other codes as well just don't remember off hand.

The Marantz 8200 has direct access to channel level adjustments on the remote but you need the OSD. It is on the tone adjust page You can try some macros counting strokes and disabling the OSD but simple is usually better
