I have a customer who wants an A/V system outside under his patio so he can watch TV in his Hot tub. So I am looking for a programable remote that is waterproof so he can use it in the Hot tub. I have looked around on the net, but have not really found what I am looking for. The Dalphin remote looks kind of cool, but you seem to be at the mercy of the IR codes built into the remote.

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

Second the U1, but note that it is RF only, and you need either the RP-1 or RP-6/RM-433 to make it work.

That's what I use at home. I put my MX3000 in a double zipped zip lock baggie. I have been doing this for almost a year now with no problems. My only caution is to change the bag every few months or watch for any wear marks where the hard butttons are. Other than that, I can't think of a better solution than what ed is suggesting. I wouldn't reccomend it, but if the bag is zipped properly, it will float if accidentally dropped into the tub

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

I love it... a thousand dollar remote in a two cent baggie floating in the hot tub!!!

Do you have a button marked "Quick Dry Mode"?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
