I am installing a MRZ6 w/ all intellipads, and one zone crosses over to another zone. The intellipad for Zone 2 (Kitchen), sometimes controls the kitchen and sometimes controls Zone 1 (Living Room). Could this be some kind of interference. Any ideas.
Thanks, Mark

Does it happen with all the commands? Or just with power on and power off.Is it an intermittent problem?

It is happening on all comands volume, on/off. Those are the only different commands between the intellipads. I would say it is intermittent, sometimes it works correctly and other times it controls the wrong zone.
Thanks

As long as you have eliminated all wiring problems,ie checked for shorts etc., I would have to suspect the equipment. Try moving those to keypads to other zones and see if the problem follows. If it doesn't then it is a bad MRZ-6. It happens.

How hard can this be? |

If I recall the MRZ6 has an EYE on the front, try turning it off. IR commands received through the EYE will control zone 1.

John, You were correct, I don't know why it was only happening through one intellipad but the Ir sensor was causing it to turn Zone 1 on. I turned it off and everything seems to be fine.
Thanks, Mark
