I need to locate a product that will distribute my HD signal to two tvs. I basically need a 1 in 2 out component distribution. I can find 1x4, 1x6, and so on, but only need 1x2. Any suggestions.

I would lean towards the CE Labs piece.

It's relatively cheap and works well.

For less than $200, it's your best bet.

Okay, so they're having a little fun at your expense. Roll with it. Their answers are, after all, actually the correct answers. Sorry you don't like the truth!

After you have posted a few more times, your skin will be a little thicker, and you will realize that when some guy with forty-odd posts wants a distribution amp with only two outputs, it's because he is missing, well, basically, A CLUE about the fact that it just isn't available.

It costs a manufacturer only a few more bucks to make a four-out DA than a two-out. Most people seem to want more than a two-out, and four has become a normal amount of outputs. If a manufacturer made a two-output device, it would only cost a little less to buy, but they would have to add another SKU to their line, which means separate engineering, BOM (Bill of Materials), construction, warehousing, ordering, and selling...just for the one guy out of a hundred who only needs two outputs instead of three or four.

Your more-than-slightly pissy second request for information about a two-poutput (that was a typo but it fits) DA is similar to you asking for aluminum braid and shield RG-59 for an FM antenna...it is a great product, it works perfectly at 100 mHz, but I'll be damned if I am going to stock it when more than 99% of my cable needs are for RG-6, and RG-6 will work perfectly well with FM. And in fact I used to use exclusively aluminum braid and shield RG-59 for antennas, but that was before we cared about UHF! When I switched to RG-6 I only carried RG-59 until I was out of it.

If you find a two-output DA, it will likely be a slow-moving product. Maybe they made 20,000 of them, then found they couldn't move them...so you will get what you want, but with four-year old technology...it was a slow mover, you remember....

Wait -- I know of one! Of course, it is a 4-input, two identical output component video selector, IR controlled, not just a DA. After all, I mean, you know what I'm sayin', how the hell many people are gonna want just a 1-in 2-out DA, anyway? Call Calrad about this at 323 465-2131 and tell them Ernie told you to call, but be nice to them.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
