Just thought I would aks what experiance you guys are hving with this new mpeg-4 ready box. Personally I have had a lot of resets while I work on them.
Like yesterday I hit info and I could count to 5 before I saw the info screen.
I have walked into installs where the unit refuses to respond to its own remote (just will not accept numbers from the remote). After I hit the reset button it works for a while then I get a call asking... where was that reset button?
Or when it will take the same number and enters like 4 of them.
Channel changes seem to be extremely long too.
Installers like not having to put up an antenna too. But then again our average job is about 15 miles from the transmitters.
Anyway now that I have giving you my thoughts what have you guys been experianceing?

I have experinced similar problems with the D10 and D250 recievers. I keep thinking that it has to do with the Russound UNO system that these recievers are tied to. Customer would enter channel 605 for example and it comes up as 6605. I thought I was losing my mind. Reprogrammed the UNO Remotes as well as the system. No help!! Any suggesions?

I thought I was going crazy, or maybe my client.
We have experienced the same problem. Here is a curve, we have 2 of these in the same home. 1st one is flawless, 2nd one I can count 5 resets in 2 weeks.
Of course the clients home is 1 hour away from the shop.
I bet this thread gets alot of looking.

One of the few HS-20's I've installed is in my own home. I've had to reboot it once in the last eight weeks or so.

Last night I was working on 2 of them. Had to reset one of them 2 times in 4 hours of work. The other unit didn't repsond to the remote for about 5 mins then "got better on its own."
Consistant IR... codes from the pronto section with a .15 duration and a .1 delay after each worked the best. None of it was perfect but that setting got me above 95%.
That was for all the channel macros.
