What do you guys think of it? I get alot of installs with Klipsch systems sold from the stores.

I really love the subs but I was wondering what you guys thought about them.

I've always thought that it sounds as if you are listening to there cabinet as much as the drivers. I wouldn't go so far as to say they're bad but, I don't like 'em. I also think they make a reasonable sub but it's a bit slow to end up in my home. Just one fellas opinion.

Not horrid, could do worse... Many years ago, they were THE speakers (mid 60's early 70's)... now they have morphed into an above average mass merchandised speaker... The subs are O.K. but might want to listen to comparably priced B&W or Paradigm or PSB speakers. (Just my snotty little suggestion...)
The bottom line--- If YOU LIKE EM..then go for it.
Asking for a speaker recomendation in a room full of 100 CI guys, you might get 100 different opinions...I
Kind of like cigar or wine reviews! I agree with the other posting, the Klipschs are a little bright.

I think they are overly bright myself, but then I know people who love them.

Really depends on which line you are looking at and what you are trying to do with them and what they will be used with.

For home theater I find it hard to believe you will find a better set up then the Klipsch Ultra 2s.

Side note a lot of the Klipsch stuff is now made in China.

The first center channel I ever bought was a Klipsch. Matched it up with a pair of their old towers. The Center itself was huge. But sounded good. Since then, havent really thoght to much of their stuff.

I unpacked a really nice pair of B&W inwalls the other day... "Made in China"!!! What the hell would the Queen say to that???
I was kinda surpised...B&W??? Oh man! Tell me it ain't so!!!
I figured for what they charge, they could keep cranking em out in the UK and get whatever they ask for them... Hell, before ya know it BENZ's & BEEMERSwill start getting built over there...(Meridian & LINN too!)...
Or as a kind of scholarly friend told me..."Stanley... We'll ALL be Chinas' bitches before ya know it"!!! LOL

Horn tweeters were great in the 70s, now all they are good for is cheap defenning volume. Their quintet surround was quite popular about 6 years ago, only because most retail stores packaged them in a $600 kit with the lowest of the line Denon receiver.
