Anyone used the IR out port on the NEc plasmas in lou of an IR receiver.

Specifically, taking that IR out and sending it into a 789-44?

I tried for several hours but could not get this feature to work, There is even a menu option to enable disable it. I tried different polarities, 2 and 3 conductor 1/8 mini jacks, but no luck. There is no instructions I could find anywhere for this feature either. I had to use a plasma friendly receiver instead

As I understand it, the IR out on the NEC plasmas is only for use with their video wall feature. Out of one and into the other.

Yea,

but according to page 10 of the manual, they show a diagram of what looks like IR going into a TV tuner.

Sorry, I couldnt cut and paste the diagram.
