I need to upload a clone file from a Xantech WPK4 before I return it to Xantech. All I have is the waterpad. I saw that I need a xantech "com port adapter PCB" to get it to my laptop. I do not have this piece.

Does anyone know the pin config for the serial end so I don't have to cut my only download able?

Or better yet, where can I get a com port adapter PCB?

Thanks

Try this. Tx to pin 2 Rx to pin 3 Com to pin 5 Do you have the xantech adaptor that allows you to connect the serial cable to a waterpad connecting block? If not, just hardwire the above pinouts to the matching screw terminals of the waterpads' connecting block. Good luck - nothing like starting the day with a good old-fashioned "jury-rig".

thanks Aaron. The adapter is what I would like to find, but I may have to rig one like you describe.

Anyone know where I can get one?

Also do you know how long a Waterpad will keep its program (it's been without power for a few months)?

Figured out to use a peice of Cat 5 as a jumper to the dragon Drop serial cable. Worked fine...
