...that will ship to the UK.

I need info on pricing and availability for the OnQ range of in-ceiling access points.

I know from OnQ that they can be used here. I've sent emails to ADI to no avail.

Any help on finding a good one would be of great help.

TIA.

BTW they don't have to be OnQ/Legrand, but I know that theirs is approved for use in the UK.
Sticking to what I'm good at.

Contact the manufacturer, they should be able to give you a list of those involved, you may even be able to find one in the UK. By the way the AP's aren't that great, they look alright but don't expect much more than that.

cma -- version 2 of the access points are supposed to be much better (and cheaper). Have you tried those?

stereoguy, I would try looking for a Pass&Seymour distributor in the UK or Europe. Since Legrand is a French company, and most things sold under the OnQ/Legrand name are also sold under the Pass&Seymour name as well there has to be someone over there selling this stuff.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

What is your source on this info?

I have seen both good and bad comments on the AP from On-Q, but didnt know there was a version "2". How is it denoted as the newer version?

this is whats currently listed on A**D's site

364711-01 Wireless Access point, 802.11g AP,

I need one for a job coming up, and am looking for options.
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

No I have not tried those, I had just found that the OnQ's had very bad range, so I just went back to using the Linksys EQ and hide them in closets and attics.

Have you found any that support POE?

Linksys has this, have not used them yet but am planning to in the near future..

Up to this point I have just been running an additional 16awg wire to the AP location in the closet or attic or wherever and have been using adapters with the 16awg and remotely locating the power supplies in the headend.

We're putting a few of these in the drop ceiling of the new store

With this antenna:

PoE injectors in the box - nice build quality - very similar to the 1131 Cisco APs that I have used in the past. Wont have them powered up for another week or so - looking forward to seeing how well they work.

The version 2 of the WAP is 20% smaller, 40% cheaper and has the same features as version 1. The range is just as good as a Linksys in a closet, like any other WAP you need to be careful about the placement...

Version 2 Part#364887-01 in-ceiling or
Part# 364891-01 in-wall have the same specs, but a different shape. Both mount in a standard 3 gang wall-box and use POE (power over ethernet)

Try Worthington Distributors for the OnQ stuff - very reliable.
