Heads up you should probably give the make and model of what your talking about. I would assume your talking about plasmas. If so most likely no. However both are available through search on the forum or the files section.

only power discretes from consumer work with the commercial plasmas. If you are using a 8uk commercial plasma the remote has power and input discretes on the remote already.

It still matters what models they are. There was on generation a couple of years ago that had discrete power commands, followed by a generation that had a toggle power and a discrete OFF. That meant that to automate, you had to turn off the plasma, then turn it on, every time you chose a source. Probably a bad idea, too.

Anyway, for the future, models matter. If you have your answers now without them, cool.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

As mentioned before, the 8uk series commercial plasmas have discrete power and input....it works great. The latest consumer panels use the same power discretes but for input you have to macro an input command followed by the input number. Works exactly like the discrete inputs on just about every toshiba TV I've seen. Kind of a pain but it will work.

My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.
