Client is considering having me integrate this into his system. Is it worth it?

it didnt look as though this unit is limited to playing their moies. i own and upscaling LG DVD player, it upscales to 720p or 1080i. and while it was well worth the money as it did improve my picture quality, it seems to me REAL HD DVD players will be available shortly. at the same time maybe one is better to wait 6months after a product comes out for more brands to become available, and of course the inevitable price drops that come with that? so maybe $225 is a small price to pay to tide you over!(assuming its a quick install)

so i suppose it depends on the clients budget. i personally would wait, but only because i plan on getting a PS3 which sounds promising to have a BD included. i also own an Xbox 360, and there is alot of talk of MS releasing an HD-DVD drive soon.

Sorry guys. I was typing on my laptop outside a customers house in the cold. Typing is bad to begin with but add in the 30 degrees.

That DVD player upscales but so do a lot of other things... like scalers.

What I was saying is it is pitched as actually HD from the discs they sell. Those discs are few and I personally don't want to watch any of them (Sorry Stuart).

Too me its buying an esoteric thing that is a stop gap. Real HD DVD is near. Wait for the standard.
