I have a customer that wants me to freshen his system and he has a seemingly competent older (4 years old he thinks) Yamaha AV receiver model DSP-A1 (does DTS and DD). I have to come up with a remote solution and of course it it imperative that the receiver have discrete power and input commands.

Do any of you Yammy dealers out there remember this piece - and can you confirm that it responds to discretes?

Yes it has discrete power and input, I have Hex codes from RTI database if you want them

What remote are you planning to use for this system??

URC, RTI, Crestron, AMX???

Glack,

URC MX850 but probably only with IR as everything is out in the open and no need for RF. Can I use those Hex codes in a Pronto CCF? If so I could then import them with the univeral browser into the MX850 editor.

Thanks for the assist.

I will see if I can make a .ccf file for you and send that, that way you can drag it in from the universal browser and not have to convert it yourself

or make a MX 850 file for you

Pronto File sent....
