After a few enquiries from installers, I'm looking into the viability of a product to allow individual remote control of multiple Sky and/or Sky+ set-top boxes - see [Link: redremote.co.uk] for details. Any comments/feedback welcome.

I'vee seen your websites, and you are one wacky guy.

Good problem solver for those pace boxes, BTW.

However, I have come up against the old multiple Sky box thing before (Actually Sky+) and got around it by adopting the URC range of remotes and RF bases. I'm now using their stuff all the time, and regular TV guys don't usually have access to them.

Good luck with your product, but I suspect that people with enough money to have that many Sky boxes will probably have a custom installer do the job with the appropriate control system, rather than original remotes.

If you could engineer original Sky handsets with different code groups then may be it would be viable... for the more simple jobs most folks just want the Sky handset/interface, especially for a bedroom or what-not. Using other remotes for the job won't cut it I suspect.

My tuppence..
Sticking to what I'm good at.
